One Walk, One Goal
All Cancers
September 10th, 2016
|
To our wonderful patients,
For the last 9 out of 10 years, there have been a group of us that have walked alongside other participants in the 25km One Walk, benefiting the Princess Margaret Hospital.
Each year the participants raise millions of dollars that go to research at the Princess Margaret hospital, one of the leading research facilities in the world, to aid in the search for a cure for all women's cancers. This year the walk has changed to a 1 day 25km walk.
Once again, Jacquie and Heather S. will be participating in the walk around the streets of Toronto. Now the 1 day, 25km walk is for ALL cancers and we hope that the funds we raise will help researchers find a cure that could end this disease that affects so many people around the world, no matter who or where they are.
We are walking for our families, our friends and our patients that have been affected by cancer. In the 9 years that our group has walked, we have raised over $100,000!

Fight Tooth Decay with Beet Juice
According to the NIH (National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research), 92% of adults between the ages of 20 to 60 have tooth decay.
Tooth decay occurs when bacteria in your mouth creates lactic acids that eat away at the tooth. The root cause is sugar, since bacteria uses sugar as the
substance with which to adhere to the tooth. These bacteria can eventually turn into plaque - a sticky, colourless film of bacteria proliferating on our
teeth.
Tooth decay can be minimized by a healthy diet that involves cutting down on sugary foods. But did you know there's something you can add to your healthy
eating habits that can actually help prevent tooth decay?
Beet juice!
